There is a TV commercial running currently offering ANIMAL OFF electronic animal/pest repellant.
Solar powered unit that claims to be effective against rodents, dogs, cats and DEER !
Is this too good to be true?
Anyone have positive results with deer?
I don't have TV, so I never saw the commercial. How is it supposed to work? Is it one of those things that you plug in and it sends out some sort of sound waves? If so, those things rarely work.
They claim 'up to 30 ft', dogs cats deer coons etc.
Ultrasonic.
Solar powered.
Motion senser.

I also have my doubts, but one never knows for shure.
I don't put much stock in those ultrasonic things. I would love something like that for rodents and snakes, but I don't think my dogs and cats would appreciate it.
Ultasonic sound? I doubt that would scare anything away. It would have to be awfully loud ultrasonic sound, and just the right frequency. Pretty unlikely.
It does work. I have it up around my garden as my deer were helping themselves to it. I have it real low and the deer can smell the heat coming off it trough the ground when they sniff at the ground. I had no deer or animal issues this year at all.
