Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
Cindi, Gee thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!! How long do you suppose it will take before something replaces the "FAMOUS" Close Encounters music that is repeating and repeating and repeating in my head! Also I get the urge to sculpt the devil's postpile in my mashed potatos.

Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
Nat, You left out "The Longest Day" the same way I left out "The Sound of Music."
Hey how about "Amazon Women on the Moon?"
Interestingly, so far, no one has listed a movie that I haven't seen and liked but then so far no one has listed a "relationship type chick flic" or a Woody Allen "ANGST" type flick. Oh and I nominate "Sleeper" and "Bananas" two decent Woody Allen comedies.

Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
I agree with all of yours except for Thunder Road. Just never did get into it I guess.
My classic all time favorite is Bogart and Bergman in Casablanca.
The Tolkein Lord of the Rings Trilogy was so well done I'm sure they will be considered classics in their time.
For Love of the Game...A baseball flick, but I just really like it.

So too did I miss that one. In fact it is the only movie I own.
Even more interesting is that Pete lives right next door to some of the family.

Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
Pat, you know your "CETK". I have owned a copy for 10 years and watch it at least twice a year.
Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
OK time to revise my list since I've thought on it a while. In order
Quiggley Down Under
Rio Bravo
The Longest Day
Shattered
Winchester 73
The Ten Comandments
The hunt for Red October
Crimson Tide
Field Of Dreams
The Bridge over The River Kyaw(sp)
I think that is my top 10, till I hear the name of another favorite.
Vickie asked if I included Pretty Woman,Ghost, and Dirty Dancing. I told her these were my favorites and to stay away from them. Later, Nat
Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
Egon, Yes, that is interesting. Why do you suppose Pete lives next door to his family instead of with them? What is there about Pete we don't know?
