Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
Thanks, Pat. And thanks for the 'Go Bama'. If you're an OU fan I've always appreciated the Bama/OU games. They're usually clean, hard fought contests and the fans on both sides are rabid but civilized. As for the movies, my gosh, I'd never really have a definitive list. You always can add some: Patton, The Natural, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Long Hot Summer, the list goes on and on.

Welcome to Countrybynet, RRR.
And you're showing your age. I'll bet a majority of our members don't even remember Ma & Pa Kettle but there was a time when they were favorites of mine. Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride made quite a pair.
Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
"Lonesome Dove"
My two favorite actors and my favorite writer all in one package. I spout at least a dozen quotes from that movie every day. The wife tires of me calling her "lorena darlin".
"True Grit"
My third favorite actor in his best performance. I've forgotten his horse's name, time to watch it again!

Ah come Bird; nobody can be young enough to not remember Ma & Pa Kettle!
Surely wish we could get reruns!

Re: Our favorite movies!!!!
"Grapes of Wrath" is a required read at my son's school. I didn't know it was a movie, gotta get that one.
Too late Bird, lazy afternoon, I watched Rooster again, I keep forgetting Robert Duvall plays the outlaw Ned Pepper.
