Re: My Logs, His Sawmill, what to expect.
Blue Box? Memories of Phone Phreaks...
Lowe's maybe? I found an exension that is compatible with the Graco Magnum XR7 I'll be using. $10/day rental. It is 9 ft long with articulated knuckle on end. It is in 4 sections so you can use what you want up to 9 ft.

Hey Pat, can you put the taller section of scaffold uprights on but put the planks somewhere below the top?
Sounds like your place is coming along nicely

Re: My Logs, His Sawmill, what to expect.
Rob, I'll be trying something like that soon. Todays paint adventure was a bust. My bud showed up with his airless, beaucoup hose, 2 nozzles (one an 18 inch extension) and I rented a 9 ft extension wand for only $10. Unfortunately we fussed with the extensions and nozzles for at least 3 hrs and never got to paint. Oodles of taking it apart and reassembling trying various combinations etc. I surmise that there was debris/contamination left over from previous users incompatible paint and cleaning solution. It doesn't take much to plug one of those small orifices. We ran out of time and enthusiasm (started at 0900) broke for lunch at 1330 after all the clean up. There is still a lot of overhead just getting ready and cleaning up if you paint 1 sq ft or a couple thousand.
I'll "get 'er done" next time.

Looks nice. I haven't milled anything except our native cedar (juniper) so far. It is fairly soft but I will try to trim the sunroom with it. It should look OK around the windows and doors.
A couple coats of satin urethane should bring out the colors.
