My husbands table saw has been making strange noises. He uses it for all of the fabrication we do here so if it breaks we are in trouble. A friend said it was the bearings. Can that be fixed? Do we need a new motor?

Any motor can be re-built. If he's handy enough, he can rebuild it. If anything, find a good machinist or local handyman, and knock your heads together until you get it fixed.
