Making balms and creams

I used to get my natural balms and face creams from a friend who did a great job with them. Unfortunately, she passed away, and now I have no source for those things. I am starting to run out.

So I want to learn how to use the herbs from my garden to make some balms, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'd love some pointers on getting started!

I make all my own, what are you looking to do. With a little beeswax and borax and some sources of heat and oils you can have a very good cream and balms.

I'd like to make a balm for bruises and bumps. Maybe with some calendula and comfrey. Natural lip balm would be nice, too. I hate putting petroleum-based products on my lips!
