Gary,
The one thing I found that you may want to check. On the oil...
Mark,
Tightly stacked in a 8' pickup box, you would need to stack it (nicely/tightly) 4' high from side to side. Hard to do in a P/U unless you have tall racks/sides. As already mentioned, you...
I've found it almost impossible to measure a "pile" of wood.
If it was stacked in the trucks, you might have an idea. Measure the cu/ft of each truck and see if combined, it's close to 128 cu/ft....
Gary,
Do you mean these?
If so, don't forget the other side. Click here.

I bought a Speeco 25 ton. They're also sold under other names. New Holland is one that comes to mind.
I split mainly cheery, oak and maple with a little ash, beech and elm thrown in.
In terms...
Dave,
I just took an online look at those splitters.
Although I don't have any first-hand knowledge of either, let me throw out my 2 cents.
I find it interesting that the one with the B&S...
Spider bites really hurt. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif
I'm not an entomologist so I'm not sure if I can help but I think you may need to provide a general location of where you live to answer...
Adron,
Groundhog or muskrat? Around here, it's always the latter. Haven't heard of a groundhog doing pond bank digging as they would probably drown. Whichever it is, eviction is key and keep an...
Although not my driveway, I have some gravel areas around buildings and such. I use the round-up (or similar). For esthetics (since a lot of mine are taller weeds), I wait about a week (until it's...
Running an aerator annually is a good idea anyway.
Rollers don't compact too much. If you figure a 50 gallon unit, you're at around 500#. Driving a decent size tractor or car through the yard...
Is it bumpy or are their severe dips that need filled?
If bumpy, I'd start with a lawn roller. Roll when the ground is very wet so it's soft. The roller should take out the bumps. If it's still...
Dave,
I wasn't aware of that system but it does sound like a good idea.
You start on August 1st????
Oh my. What happened to summer vacation. Oh yea, it's almost always warm in GA. Up here, we're only 1/2 way through the warm part of summer.
I grew up in W. NY. ...
Can't speak for your pastures but I just did the same thing to my yard last Friday (using Ortho's Weed-B-Gone). It takes a few days but I can see most of the weeds are wilting.
Just walked out...
selmore,
First, welcome to the forum.
I agree with what has been said so far.
Let me throw a couple more things out.
I would propose that you put down road cloth (it looks like the black...
The ceiling is 28 gauge tin (pre-painted) that was intended to be roof panels.
On the run-off, yes, there are gutters. (Can be seen on the left side of the last picture).
I think we all have these types of plants.
Have you looked into something called "Super Brush Killer" (do a google search for the different companies)? For what you're trying to kill, it may work...
Last pic.
Shows concrete floor, ceiling, gutters and such.
This pic shows the ceiling we put in the lower level.
Keeps it nice and dry on bad weather days. It's got a pitch of about 2" to let the rain come out.
Thanks.

What are your plans for below the deck? Since the one we built is similar, I'm going to post a couple more pics to see if they provide any ideas.
Here's an older picture of...
twstanley,
The mention of a "ranch truck" happened in the other thread. I didn't see that until this morning when I conceded and agree with your proposed truck.
If it was going to be a primary...
Shade,
Attached is a pic of the deck we built for the neighbor. He had thought of composite but it was cost prohibitive. Using PT, it came out nice. It's since been stained.
Brian
BlueRidge,
Holy cow!!! Here is the price list for that stuff.
A 2x6 of that stuff costs $4.59 a foot. That's $36.72 for a single 8' board. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif ...
Mark,
I just found that other thread.
I think I'll concede but without the answers to the questions I posed, I still think it's "do-able" with a 1/2 ton if the conditions are right (mainly...
Lynx,
Not a pest at all. I think we need more info from the original poster.
I threw out my 2 cents "assuming" a couple things.
First, the trailer I was expecting wasn't of the...
