Re: 99 Z71 Chevy Truck Rear End Clunk

I'd also take a look at the exhaust pipe, it may be getting hit by the frame when going over a bump. This happens alot on aftermarket exhaust systems.

Re: Do you have a name for your land or house?

    Bryan,

I guess my Mom started it in the 70's when they bought their dream property North of new Orleans(N side of Lake Ponchatrain). She named their 7 ac "PineLoft", so i built the entrance sign...

Re: used power poles for barn?

    Gof,

I haven't used any full length, but did make 28 piers for the foundation of my log home in TX. I got free poles from TP&L and cut them to length with a chainsaw, the shortest was 1.5' & the...

    Re: Neoprene Cinch

    Rozett,

You actually tighened a flank cinch up? Did your quarter buck? I thought the flank rings were only for a loose strap that keeps the saddle from flipping(up in the back) when roping. I've...

    Re: Pole barns

Try using used power poles. Most local power Co's will give away their old poles. Even better, if you see a road that they are replacing poles, ask if you can pick them up on site. That way they...

Re: Has anyone built their own home?

    Bird,

These were also square on 3 sides and we used fiberglass insulation between each log. There were no threaded bolts, just 12" spikes every 3 or 4' and in every corner overlap. The wood was E...

  12. Re: Chainsaw or Band Mill....need advise/opinions.

Its a Logosol made in "Svvvweeeden", but i em'd them and they don't think it can be fitted to a Hud-Son. The single phase E3000 is $1600, but without being able to "coon finger " the thing to see if...

Re: Has anyone built their own home?

    Karm,

Built a 1624 sq foot log home in TX in the early 80's. Before that i had built a pair of speakers in H.S. It was not a "kit" home...all the logs were 9' something long and had to be squared....
  15. Re: Chainsaw or Band Mill....need advise/opinions....

Well guy's and gal's....i came across a Hud-son chainsaw mill on ebay that was half price of a new one and 1/3rd to 1/4 the price of the Woodbug, so i bought it. They are the same principal..a...
  16. Chainsaw or Band Mill....need advise/opinions....

I would like any input from those that own chainsaw & band mills. I am leaning towards the Woodbug chainsaw mill from B.C. Canada. I guess i like the chainsaw idea better because it is a simpler...
