Thanks for the accurate corrections guys. I need to learn to keep my mouth shut if I'm not sure of something, especially at 1am in the morning.

Re: Converting 110 to 220 electrical question

As you've found out, you only need two 110V inputs and a ground for a 220 circuit. No neutral is needed. However, you should use a true 220 breaker at the box instead of two individual 110 breakers....

    Re: MB Repair

    Carl,,,

Check the adjustment bracket for the alternator thats located just below the pulley/air vane. I suspect you'll find that the vanes are contacting this bracket, and that's where your metal...

Re: Where did \"He bought the farm\" come from?

I couldn't get the link to work, although the address looked correct. I had heard the phrase came from combat solders in WWII, who were always talking in the foxholes about buying a little farm after...

    Re: Pole Barn Floors

Make the barn's floor higher then the surrounding site. That will keep water from flowing inside, and what does get in will drain out. It's also just good building practice.

Re: Pond Maintenance When Water Is Low

    Harv,

I think ponds just have to be cleaned out from time to time because of their nature. Runoff brings silt and the banks erode over time until you end up with mud flats. This leads to even more...
