Does anyone have a recipe they will share for red pepper jelly? I had some the other day and really liked it. I want to try it for myself.
Do you knit with something other than yarn? I have seen people knit with the shreds from an old cassette tape as well as an old t shirt. How hard is it to knit with those mediums?
My husband has decided he wants to start baking on the weekends so we have stuff for during the week. We like to know what we are eating. We are becoming more conscious these days.
We do the same. This week alone I have done cookies and biscuits and my husband did 3 batches of bread. I bake at lease once or twice a week.
For kids clothes, I use pillow cases from good will, it is the perfect size to make little dresses, shirts and pants for little kids out of.
I have done it and it is super easy as long as you can loose stitch and gather the seams. I have also done a 2 tier and attached it to a shorter denim skirt made out of an old pair of worn out...
I do the finances and track them via an Excel Spreadsheet. My husband could do it if he had to, he just chooses not to.
What is a car boot sale? I have never heard of these. I post stuff on Facebook, they have a local buy, sell and trade site in my area. I also free cycle stuff I can't sell and check free cycle for...
We shop about once a week, I tried every 2 weeks and we kept running out of things. I find if I only go once a month I spend more than if I go once a week.
I hate loaning my vehicles to anyone, I always worry it won't come back or will come back broken. I am hard enough on them, they don't need help from someone else.
We can stuff and swap it out with friends, also we will grow a garden and shop at good will as well. I am not proud, I will wear used clothes and use second hand things.
We had a big supper tonight and celebrated in the huge "mega moon". It was nice to get together with friends. We usually do it for the season's changing.
That is a good plan. I found some discount summer sand buckets from last year. I just need some bubbles and treats and I am done for this year.
That may work, I found some sand buckets, they may work too. I wonder how well they will paint up? They are kind of faded from the sun.
We have a fair bit of debt too, but we don't really notice it, it is money that comes in from the government every month that goes in to it. We get something called Child Tax Credit here in Canada.
How do you save for your child's education or do you save for it. My parent's never had an education fund for me, so I made sure that was the first thing I did for mine, we have an RESP that is a...
What are some interesting things you could use as an Easter Basket? I don't want to have to buy any unless I have to, I'd rather re-use something I already have.
I am still under about a foot of snow in most places. The parts that are not covered are green though. Usually the crocuses are the first to come.
I live in the country, in a rural neighborhood, I like it. I could not handle the noise and hustle and bustle of city life. I spent one night in the city, down town and I didn't sleep a wink, too...
I am not sure which he will prefer, I am sure he will decide once he gets it and starts using it. Right now there is a ton of dust in his shop.
Thanks for the comments, folks. My husband only has a small hobby shop so nothing big. It just so happens this particular one has got 2 hoses and some good attachments, some of the others had to...
My husband wants a vacuum for his shop for his birthday, I am not looking to spend no more that $150 but I don't know which one is best. I am looking at a Shop Vac, the stainless steel model, but...
My mint is mostly controlled, it is planted with my raspberries, they seem to keep it under control. Alternatively, planting it in a pot without a bottom works well too.
Thanks for the advice folks. I think it is a worthwhile investment. They seem to be very versatile, would you say so? That is my presumption after reading about them.
