Does anyone have good info. on coastal in Texas? I sprigged my pasture this last spring but i still have some grass burrs and weeds. When to fertilize? When to disk/aereate etc..

I think the answers to your questions may be different for different parts of the state, and I would expect the best source of information would be your county extension agent.

Check the Extension Service web site. They have a bunch of free literature on coastal. I hope to sprig 2 acres next year with Tifton 85. What variety did you use? Did you do it yourself? Any pointers for those of us planning to sprig?

I sprigged 26 acres with a fertilizer spreader and then disked then in. It seems to have worked pretty good but could be better. I bought some spriggs by the bale and some by the trailer load. The baled spriggs were cheaper and hauled easier, but the trailered spriggs held moisture better.Good luck.
