Re: Muhammad\'s Roof

Well, I sold the house... and prior to selling it we had a trusted professional roofer look at it on the surface. No cracked shingles, etc... he just said that once the roof needs to be re-shingled, to rip it all op and re-do the sheathing, etc. The final ruling fromhim was that at that point, it was just a cosmetic issue.

FWIW, when he put a nail into one of the plywood edges that had curled, there was nothing to nail into... maybe that's why it curled (in addition to not being staggered).

Neat - so it was loose plywood.

I reviewed the thread after being reminded about it here. We really "chewed" that one for a while.

You know I was thinking about that last winter. I think I would like to get away for a year or two, but I would like to come back. I would miss the change of sesons. Fall in the northeast cant be beat. Also, how can you realy apreachete summer if you have it all year long?

Arizona(What I seen of it) is a wonderful State....If you started to miss the winter you could drive up in the Rocky Mountains, there is snow in those Mountains through the summer a lot of years.

Hmmm, I'll be in Scottsdale AZ in mid-November on a business trip. Some place called the Camelback Resort. Sounds dry. We ought to hook up for a brewski.
