I just got in from getting up a sick calf. I'm not sure of the cause. Just drouped ears and laying down. One of my best I was planning on keeping as a replacement heifer, that seems to always be the case. The bad part was that this was the week I was replacing the barn lot so I can't get her in the barn to give a shot of antibiotics. She was to be weaned next week. If worse tomorrow I'll call the vet. Doc, that was sort of my thinking. But I'll have to wait until I either get the lot back up or or she goes down enough to hold for a quicky. Shame to see a good 5oo lb. heifer sick. Doc thanks for the advice and concern.
