Has anyone converted a tobacco barn into a hayloft/livestock barn? I'd have to cut out all the racking and wonder about stability. Any suggestons on how to build a loft inside the existing structure?

If you live in CT or MA you might be able to sell your tobacco barn for good money and build the barn you want new [img]/forums/images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
Has anyone raised the question of some sort of beetle or worm in the wood from a tobacco barn and how it needs to be fumigated before use. I recall an article some time ago concerning some conversion project that failed to take that infestation into account and as result it cost the owners considerable money to correct the situation.
