We have a 3 acre field next to our pond that has really poor coverage of vegetation of any sort because the son of the previous owners used to "mud" around in it with his jeep. I was intrigued by buffalo grass as a drought resistant low maintenance covering, but it looks kinda expensive to put in. Does anyone have any experience with putting this in, especially buying seed over the internet? thanks
I bought some and have it growing here in WVa,it is expensive.
I planted some for the novelty of it and some wildflowers. It is very drought resisitance.I forget the name of the company that sold it to me.I just went to yahoo search and typed in prarie grass/buffalo grass etc.The native prarie grass is an endangered species.
