    Winterwheat/winter rye/ green manure

    It's planted in the fall. The time will depend on your location. It will grow to about six inches tall in the fall and continue growing the next season. If left it will mature and you can harvest the seeds that fall. If you wish green manure you till it under in the spring.

    What put out is around 4 inches tall and is purty and green.

    I think you're safe to sew wheat in PA right now, and it's cheap enough to try at least a small garden.

    It's a great time for sewing grasses in KY now with all the rain and heavy dews.
