We have not come up with a name yet for our land. Mostly we just call it "the land" Maby when the house is up, and we move a name will come to us.

Re: Homestead Names?

When I lived in an apartment, I used to tell my dog that we were going to "camp" when we would visit my parent's house (1 acre).

Now that we bought a place, my parents tell their dogs that they are going to visit the "farm". All of 4 acres

We dogsat for them last week. We had a total of 4 labs and 1 cockerspaniel. 2 of the labs are puppies. It made for a restless week.

Nothing official yet, but we are thinking of two names:

1. "Elbow Brook Farm", for the Elbow Brook runs the full width of my property.
2. "Lindavid Acres", a combination of my wife Linda and my name David

Just my opinion, but of the two, "Elbow Brook Farm" has a nice ring to it...

Yes, we also agree

Lindavid Acres was our first crack at it when we bought it, but Elbow Brook Farm does sound alot better.
