Well I followed no ones advice and bought the Makita

Went to Woodworkers Warehouse. The guy said Makita or Porter Cable. The makita seemed the easiest to hook up to the shop vac so I bought that one. You just take the bag off & the port is sized for 2.5" shop vac hose. So far the wife has more run time than I do. With the vac attached, virtually no dust. Hope it lasts as long as my Makita 12V drill has (7 years so far).

I'm about 20 years, and second pair of batteries, into my Makita 9.6V screwdriver/drill. It has seen at least a dozen years of daily commercial use and another 8 or so years of homeowner-type use. It is the most wonderful tool I ever found for driving brass screws into hardwoods, without twisting them off.
