    Shop Tool Prices

I'm looking at some used machine tools through an estate - Bridgeport vertical mill - 36" table, 2 axis DRO and single phase motor, Enco 12X36 gear head bench lathe w/3&4 jaw chucks and Hobart Handler 175 MIG welder. The Bridgeport is well used, but looks OK, the lathe and welder are fairly new. Any ideas on fair prices? I haven't priced lathes or mills for almost 20 years so I need an update.

you can find some really good deals nowadays from all the shops closing up.....the mill is smaller than most and I personally wouldnt give more than about 500 bucks, and thats only if the feed and DRO worked properly....the Enco lathe is junk, stay away from it...175 amp mig is prob worth another 400-500 if all works well, gun is in good shape, wire rollers are not all dinged up .....make sure u can test the welder before u buy.....good luck!

You can get the Hobart Handler 175 brand new for about $550.00. I wouldn't give more than 1/2 the new price for it.
