I took this picture of this awesome butterfly today in my yard in Spring Hill, TN. Anyone know what kind of butterfly it is?

Those were among my favorites when I collected as a kid.

Metallic shiny spots on the underwing? They're called a Gulf Fritillary.

Yes it has the shinny metallic on the underwings. Thanks for the information on the Gulf Fritillary I am certain that is what kind it was.
