    That'll keep you fit. I've got one of those scythes, took it out to play with it one day. It didn't take long to work up a sweat and gain an appreciation of what the old farmers went through to harvest a crop.

    Naw: It was a disaster.
    I'd originally planed for some rye stalks to use as thatching for a few shelters but was unable to cut at the proper time.As a result I couldn't rake the stalks so all the heads were the right way. Cut it all and then tilled it under for next year. Took about 5 days to sprout and is doing very well.
