\"Breezeway Renovations\"

This room between the house and garage had been finished by the Dreaded Previous Owner aka DPO. It was falling apart, so we decided to do something with it besides being a catch-all room for junk. Both end walls had to be re-framed due to weather and termites web page
This is how it has gone so far......see attached

Double french doors, new walls, new ceiling, 2 ceiling fans, went with heated oil baseboard heaters because we had them stashed in the garage. Gonna love it this holiday to put all the family in the same room.......unlike last year, some in the living room some in the dining room some in the kitchen. It's 12X25.

That's a pretty downtown looking breezeway there Inspector! In fact, it doesn't look very breezy at all, very solid and inviting. Nice work

Very nice work, Inspector!

Tell us about that "stairway to nowhere" - or is it just an optical illusion?

WvBill,
That is the chimney (containing 2 flues) on the stucco'd wall, which was the outside wall of the house at one time. When the room was originally built, the garage and house were detached from one another. He built the garage bigger and closed in this room.
The garage was 20x22 ...........but now is 25x30 WOW

When you open both french doors on both outside walls.......talk about a BREEZE

Room is complete now. All the trim is done, wheelchair ramp for when Grandma visits and a step for when she's not here.
