    Stream Erosion

I thought I'd share a few pictures of what happens when someone dose not know what they are doing. This stream goes through my property and I granted the county an easement. This is the result.

This first one is behind my barn.,

Wow! That's erosion. How long did it take to do that?

Didn't the county engineer at least look at the situation before they dumped water through there? Or, was it an unexpectedly large storm?

This erosion took one rain storm. This has been going on for 8 months, but this is the worse time.

I dont understand what you mean, you granted the county a easement. To fix it, or route storm water in it? and this is the result. Im kinda lost, but real curious and at the same time hoping the best for you before it eats more of your trees and property. sorry if i sound stupid to what you mean. Did the county put the stream there?

    Re: Stream Erosion

Stream was always there. The county wanted an easment to maintain it. I "donated" the easement in return for crossings put in and the promise of making the property better.

Basically, they messed up. They did not realize the amount and speed of the water flowing through. THey cut the packed banks, softening up and the water cuts right through them.

I've loss at least 20 large trees, my fence, and lots of dirt.
