No, but it's guarded by four dogs!

Now on the serious side:

Are there any brand router bits, 1/4 in. , that you prefer?
My router is a 30+ year old Black and Decker.

Thanks Pete.

Let me run this combo by you. My husband said we'd need to purchase a tablesaw in the next couple months so getting a router extension is sounding more appealing. What I've come up with is the Bench Dog Pro Top router extension Bench Dog and either the Grizzly 1022 SM 1022SM or the Grizzly 1022Z
1022Z

The Bench Dog will fit on other table saw tables so I'm not limited to Grizzly.

I looked at Rousseau's MM2500 MobileMax but for what you were getting the price of $169 seemed too cheap. Maybe I'm wrong but it seemed odd to me after pricing other products.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Rhonda,
based on my fairly recent experience ... look for a table saw with a "decent" fence. I have a table saw similar to that Grizzly but recently upgraded the mickey-mouse fence to a pretty expensive one ... and added a very large extension to the saw.
It doesn't matter if you use Forrester blades (or any other good one) ... if your fence isn't straight and strong.
It'll probably be cheaper to buy a saw with a good fence (eg Bessemer) as a package rather than to buy a fence additionally in the future.

There are a couple very good discussions here RE tablesaws

affordable table saws

table saws

I ended up purchasing a JET contractors saw. Very happy with it so far!

I detest cheap bits, so will avoid at any cost stuff like Vermont American (an insult to this great state!), CarbTech, Freud and the like. I used to like Jesada bits and am still very impressed by them, but my current favorite is Whiteside. You spend a little more, but save a lot of wood.

I've also had good luck with the Whiteside bits. Mine came from the local Woodcraft store.

Whiteside router bits are highly rated and I have a few and like them. Have used a few Grizzly and they seemed to dull faster than the Freud, Amana and Whiteside bits. I have bought Whiteside bits at Routerbits.com. When I was shopping they had good prices and good shipping.

Just wondering, has anyone tried the Woodcraft bits? If so, how did you like them?
