    Sprouts

Does anyone grow their own sprouts and if so what type do you prefer.
    Thanks.

My wife used to do them all the time. She really liked the alfalfa and mung bean sprouts. Both are really easy to do and only take a few days from start to finish.

    Egon,

We've eaten the sprouts and they were really tasty. Do some investigating though. We stopped growing them because I heard a blip about some potential for bacterial growth. Never had the time to investigate it any farther. If I recall right, it was only one or two types of sprouts that there was a potential problem with. Kinda miss those fresh sprouts this time of year.

    Re: Sprouts

My wife use to work for a guy who was setup for production growing sprouts and mungbean. He had a big building and this tray system set up like a hydroponics deal. He could turn over hundreds of trays in 3 days if i remember right. It was 20 years ago though so i dont remeber his complete setup. I only saw it once for a brief few moments. He sold them to local stores.
