Does anybody know what angle to set the legs on a tower blind? Four legs and about 10' tall. The box at the top will be either 4x6 or 4x8. Thanks
Mike

No partictular engineering reason, but I'd say 20-30 degrees should be about right. That's my impression of what the commercial units use.
Here's a photo of a unit from Cabela's (www.cabelas.com) on line catalog.

Hey! Aren't you supposed to be working?
seen one built once, they used 4x4 post put in ground it was permanent but made a nice stand .looked a lot like a tree house
You may want to take a look at these brackets... my wife got me a set last November for my b-day. They aren't cheap, but it sure seems to be a steady, easy setup. Anyway, here's the link... Shadow Hunter tree stand brackets

She had my dad pick them up at Jay's in Clare, MI.
Thanks
That is exactly what I am looking for. I will use a set of them for a pattern. I am building 3 stands.

You only need 2 posts. 1 straight up and one at an angle. Plus a ladder and some guy wires. Here's the photographic proof.

IS THAT YOUR STAND I'M FROM THE HILLS OF VIRGINIA AND I AN'T NEVER SEEN NOTHING LIKE THAT.GOING TO PRINT IT AND SHOW IT TO MY HUNTING BUDDIES THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS.I LIKE IT. SOME ONE DONE A GREAT JOB BUILDING IT.
How about this one?
I AM IMPRESSED.I WAS TELLING THE MEN I WORK WITH ABOUT THE STAND. GOT TO TAKE PICTURE AND SHOW THEM. I LOOKED AT YOUR PROFILE DO YOU HUNT?
I hunt when I have time. Truth be told, neither of the blinds are mine, I just snag pictures of stuff like that and hang onto them. Somewhere I've got one of a 14x70 singlewide up on 20 foot tall stilts. Passed building inspection, too, from what I'm told.
