My best ewe gave me triplets this year, see the attached photo. The other 4 will lamb over the next 6 to 8 weeks, they're spread out all over the place on delivery dates.

Wouldn't that be "The Last Lambs of Winter" being that spring is still a month away (on the calendar anyway)

The glass is half-full, the glass is half empty, who cares, as long as there's beer in it...
Nice lookin' critters.

What kind do you have there? They look like Shetlands.
Good eye. I have 5 Shetland ewes. Great sheep, very rugged and low maintenance, easy to keep.
Very cute I have never seen A Sheep have triplets I have heard one having twins!
It IS somewhat unusual, this is only the second set of triplets out of five ewes in 6 years. Last time, one was stillborn and a second only made it for a couple of days. These guys are doin' great tho, runnin' all over the place.
I'm impressed! Triplets from a Shetland. Most of my girls twin but this is a new one on me. That girl is a definte keeper.
I think I've got about 14 ewes right now. We breed them to lamb later in the year so I'll have to wait for mine.
We raise Katahdins, and we have 14 ewes that were out of triplet births, so I'm hoping they'll carry on the trait.
