Hey, alright... someone I can relate to. My truck is an F250 4X4 crew cab with the 7.5l gas. Even with a stick I only get about 9 in town, 14 if I'm really good on the highway. Long term average around 11. 6 towing. Kicking myself for not getting the diesel. BTW, I've got 4:10 axles to get the tow rating up with the stick
I've heard rumors that Ford is bringing out a V6 as an offering in the F150s and light duty F250/350. If you can wait that might be of interest to you. I've got a F250 with the 7.3 PSD and with no load and a mix of hi-way/city driving get 16 mpg. If I'm dragging the skid steer or the camper and boat I get about 14 mpg. BTW- it is a 2000 super duty/auto trans/4x4/3.73 gears. It replaced an '89 F250/460/4x4/4.11 gears and 6 mpg. ouch!
I’ve got an ’03 Chevy 2500HD, 6.0L, crew cab, 4wd, 4.10 rearend, and just returned from a trip downstate and got 17MPG for a tank of interstate driving. Around town, 12-14MPG. I also have a 27’ TT, about 6500lbs and get between 8-12, depending on conditions.
