    Wheel bearing help

Lost the rear passenger wheel bearing on my '68 F100 this weekend. I can get the bearing and seals, but I also need a 4 bolt plate that holds the whole thing together. No one seems to show this in the parts books or knows what it is called. I guess you are not supposed to have to replace the plate, mine is so wallowed that the axle almost came off by itself.
Anyone know what the plate is called and where to get one?

    Re: Wheel bearing help

It's simply known as a retainer. They might still be available from Ford, if not I would try either your local salvage yard, or one of the many aftermarket driveline specialty companies like Currie Enterprises, etc. A good source for a likely vendor would be a pick-up or Four Wheel Drive magazine.
