    I prefer mechanical means over chemical means, simply because I'd rather trust my life to a weld than a drop of glue. [img]/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]

    If you can get to the nut, clamp the assembly in a vise and press a cold chisel right where the thread goes into the nut. A few good whacks with the hammer should booger up the thread enough that it won't turn back out. Turn the whole thing over and give a couple whacks to the backside too.

    That 500 degree heat to release is B.S., I've removed plenty of fasteners secured with it by using an impact wrench. That being said, I've never known it to release without working at it. Still having problems with your exhaust?

    Nope, the exhaust system problem is solved. The red threadlocker is for another project.

    Permenant is realative when you have a impact.

    I have removed the head off a bolt on ocassion with an impact [img]/forums/images/icons/blush.gif[/img]
    The permetax or loctite high strength should not vibrate loose.
