The last picture is at the end of the day and you can see the snow starting to fall. The shovel is moving the piles from next to the hole to the dozer which is spreading it to build the access to the side load garage and turn around. That area will be stoned tomorrow morning.

Long day, but we are glad to be started.

Re: Son\'s new home (need window advice.)

The foundation is about half done and the base is all in for the driveway. Weather close us down on Friday but all in all it was a good week. No work this coming week then they are back to finish the foundation next Monday. Could start the floor deck next week too. Once we get the wood started it will start looking like a house.

We were going to use casement windows but were concerned about the 35 inch wide units in the wind. A couple of questions, has anyone use the 35 or 36 inch casements and what is your experience.

If we do go back to double hung, has anyone used the Mavin Integrity, or the Anderson 200 or 400 hundred series. Any other infomation on windows of any manufacturer likes and dislikes would be appreciated. I thought we had the window issue behind us but that just is not the case.
