PIZZA PROBLEMS

Can I use "terra-cotta" tiles,that I can buy from a home improvment store,or do I need to buy a "regular" pizza stone. Don

The pizza stones are thicker than the tiles. Not sure what difference that makes.

I would be leary of the tiles, not sure of what chemicals might be present. The pizza stones are not that expensive.
We have had ours about 2 yrs. We use it for bread sticks as well. works great.
