    Jeep Sahara top

Number one son is driving up from Florida for Xmas. The original top on his '97 Sahara apparently more or less disintegrated in the Florida sun. I hope to heck he replaces it before coming up here to the middle of Misery, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him drive up our snow covered lane with no top on the car and half frozen. What does a new top cost? I've found a couple of sites that have replacements in the $600-$700 range, but I don't know what quality these are. Anyone know where to get a good quality top, in case I need to give him another present?

Try Quadratec and look for the Besttop Sailcloth Replace-a-top or you can try 4 Wheel Drive Hardware .

I have used both companies for parts for my Jeep ('91 Wrangler w/35" tires and many mods). I am due up for a new soft top, but just can't bring myself to spend the money on my "toy".
