Anybody got a ballpark number for Per Square Foot estimates for shed-type construction?
I'm looking at building an 8' by 50' breezeway between the house and garage. Slab floor, stickbuilt, 2x4 walls, composition shingle roof, no insulation. I'll do all the work except forming/pouring the slab.
I would estimate about $10 PSF pending type of siding, windows and doors selected. Probably around 10 yds of concrete pending you frost wall depth or footing.
Carport/Breezway. Apply to floor area only, costs include roof structure and cover, supporting posts and bracing, painting and concrete slab.
This appears to be non-enclosed, and has a comp shingle roof up to #235.
Why don't you visit your local bookstore and see if they have copy of Means Estimating Books that cover shed construction (Means is not the only firm in the Estimating Business)...You can apply the local factor and get a good idea based on your construction and design!

$15 should be close. Remember, the prices do not include walls, it is just an open carport. On average quality porches, wall enclosure shows as $8.47 for 300 sf size.
Average quality porch/breezeway 300 square feet:
Open slab 4.02
Solid Walls 8.47 (14.04 kneewall with glass)
add for roof 7.66
add for ceiling 2.72
These are supposedly contractor completed prices, so I would expect it to be slightly cheaper with you supplying some or all of the labor.
