    Replacement Garage Doors

I plan to replace the uninsulated fiberglas garage doors on my garage with insulated steel doors before next winter. I've looked at Holmes brand, made by Clopay and mid line Wayne Dalton doors. Does anyone have experience with either of these brands or recommendations on another brand to look at. The doors are 9X7 and since I use the garage for woodworking, I'd like the insulation to have some protection so it doesn't get torn up if its dinged by a piece of wood. I don't want to spend a lot of money, I'm just looking for a sturdy, insulated door which will hold up well.

    Re: Replacement Garage Doors

I have had insulated Clopays on my garage for 10 years, and have no complaints whatsoever.

A hint, if you use a door opener, DO spend the extra money and get the proper brace for the top of the door.

    (don't ask...)

Try these Amarr I think flying wood will ding any of the doors you pick though. Door sections are replaceable rather than a buying a whole door.

And these are pretty neat too Opener
