    Exterior Mold Removal

I am repairing the soffits where the flashing on the chimney leaked. I noticed some discoloration, which could just be water stains, but it could also be mold.

Would a mixture of clorox and lysol be enough treatment for this or is there something else I should do?

Just the clorox (10% solution) will take care of the mold.

Household bleach will take care of the mold cosmetically, for a while. If you seriously want to protect the wood a penetrating wood preservative is a better approach. Cuprinol, with copper in it as sugested by its name was a good one BUT is outlawed now, I think. Find out what wood boat folks use and get some of that. Marine supplies are frequently more "industrial strength" than typical DIY homeowner suppies for chemicals, caulks, paints, etc.
