TOOL BINGE Part 3 - Panel Saw Plans or Alternative

Figure I'll be using as much plywood as possible for my built in construction. Anybody got good/cheap panel saw plans.

Any alternatives - I seem to remember something about laying a sheet of 2" rigid foam insulation on the floor & using a straight edge & circular saw...

Here's where I'd save the money and use the blue foam tip. A good panel saw is very expensive and will be limited in usefulness down the road. Once you get the sheets broken down to reasonable sizes you can use the table saw for more precision if you want. I've had my wife help with full sheets on the table saw but it is cumbersome

The same folks that make the TruGrip clamps have a unit that works with a sled that runs along one edge. You mount the saw, or router, on the sled and it can't move in relation to the clamp. Easier to use on big sheets than a table saw.

Thanks guys. I also found this one MLCS Boomer Bar

The true-grip has an 8' section, the MLCS only goes to 50"
