Blow dryer to remove candle wax

I just had a Christmas candle brake and spill hot wax on my counter and lanoleum floor. I remeber reading about using a blow dryer to heat up candle wax so it could be blotted up. So I borrowed the wifes new Vs sasson ion souped up blow dryer. It worked wonders.

Blow dryer works well for hard materials. If wax is spilled on cloth such as a chair cushion(as i did) use a iron. Place soft paper towel over wax soiled area.Place sheet of aluminum foil over paper towel. Rub hot iron all around the foil. Heat wicks the melted wax into the paper towel. Change paper towels as they become full of wax

Just don't use a brown paper bag with printing on it, say an Outback Steakhouse takeout bag. If the print is down and the iron is used, you can get a great image of "esuohkaetS kcabtuO" into your carpet. Don't ask.
