Hey, I just recently finished a simple saw which is a band mill designed by Bill Rakes. The little fellow runs great and does a fine job sawing. I used a 6.5 hp engine I got from the Homier tent show
I built most of it out of material I pick up at the junk rard so the price came in about $700 total. If anybody is interested you can check the out on William Rakes home page.

I think it is great that you built a band mill for the cost of a chainsaw big enough to use for a chainsaw mill.
