    two words.. Donkey, mules.. there like goats that you can ride! LOL most are easy keepers. there is even minis is somthing big is an issue. they eat grass. plus they like twigs, and briers. before we got our mules and just had a horse i had to clean the field every summer of muliflora rose. fence lines creek banks..now my prunners have gotten rustly, and mules are fatter lol maybe you could offer your field to some one for summer pasture who has a few donks. that way you have the benifit of keep field clean but not the expense of wintering them i farm one or two of my mules out every summer to other farmers to help them clean the fence lines.. works great for both of us Rose [img]/forums/images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
