I was thinking... Vultures eat carrion, and some of it is quite ripe. So, is it a special treat for vultures to find a sun-baked skunk?

I am no expert. Based on my experience I can say that road kill squirrels etc get picked up pretty quickly and the one skunk I saw on the road was there for weeks until car tires turned it to dust......

I hacve seen both crows and vultures eating relatively fresh roadkill skunks, not together but at different locations.

"I'm not from your planet, monkey boy!"
Pat, that sure makes sense that they would.
Now if I could get the vultures to take care the crows I would be happy.
