    Re: Computer sound files

    A CD holds between 640 Meg and , I believe, 700 Meg.

A DVD holds about 4.3 Gig of data. There are multi layer DVDs and I think the 4.3 Gig, or so, applies to a single layer.

I've got a DVD burner in my new PC, but haven't tried it yet.

Another thing, there are + DVDs and - DVDs. Not all burners can do both types, although they are more common now.

Finally something I know something about!

Here's the best program I've ever used and it's free!

    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

dbpoweramp. It's easy to use too and pretty fast.

I use it to covert CDs of my radio shows to MP3 so stations can download MP3s from my web site.

WAV files are pretty big, MP3 files are much smaller.
