Golden Comet chickens are a cross between a Rhode Island Red, or New Hampshire Red Rooster with a White Rock female. Pullets are always brown over white feathers, while the Cockerals will be white.
Thank you for the info...

Comets are also very good egg layers. I had 2 & the eggs are huge. I give them to people at work & they are always shocked the first time they see them. So I ordered 5 more comets & 5 barred rocks which arrived end of March. I leave a wooden egg in each nest box to show everyone where to go & I've now got a hen setting on a wooden egg. My father-in-law is bringing me a dozen fertilized RIR eggs tomorrow to put under her. I started w/ 6 for my son. Now I've got 15 with more on the way. Dang those chickens are addictive.
