My son took small engines in shop class. A friend of his brought in an supposibly 26hp onan twin. It was overhauled by the students. He did not want it so he gave it to my son.
It is a vertical shaft electric start. All there. My son wanted to make a go-kart out of it. Because of the shaft design I convinced him to waive that idea. I have decided to buy a 10kw power head from Harbor freight and build an AC/DC belt driven generator by adding an alternator also. I have know idea how to find out exactly what motor it is. Can someone help me figure this out.
