Newbie..How to store seed corn for next yr?

I have some good sweet corn seed left over from this summer that I did not need to use. I plan on using next summer. How should I store it, to obtain maximum germination next year?

I have 15 pounds to store.

Thanks, this is my first post.

The most important element in carrying seed over to the next year is moisture. Keep it dry. Some people will keep it in a freezer. I have found that this is not required. Zip lock bags or a plastic container that snaps shut will suffice.

My mother used to keep her garden seed in a cream can, the the three gallon type with the lid that goes over the top, the can was kept in the wash shed which was subject to the variations in temperature from the North Dakota climate, it always grew the next year or when ever used.

Sealing seed in plastic or air tight containers is inviting trouble if the seed isn't dry enough.
