We might have a skunk under the house. Not sure but we have an awe inspiring smell. Going to try to make sure the skunk is gone and then seal up the crawl space. Any ideas on the smell? Stench!?
Happened last night and I had never smelled skunk that powerful before. Thought one of our cats might have bothered it, we have nine and they are all accounted for and none skunk scented.
The smell is better but still gets your attention 24 hours later.
We've found vinegar works for cat stink. (when the Toms have sprayed repeatedly, for example.) Tomatoe juice is often recommended for washing skunk off of dogs & people, but that wouldn't work under your house. You'd soon have a stench of a different sort! [img]/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] But I'm thinking that maybe the acid in the tomatoe juice is what does the trick, in which case the vinegar just might work.
