I don't know what problems you've had with Sears, but I'm just the opposite. Besides some hand tools, I have a Craftsman table saw, bench grinder, shop vacuum, half-inch hammer drill, sander, plus household appliances such as our washer/dryer, two refrigerators, etc.

Sears Craftsman hand tools are slowly changing from made in U.S.A to made in china, My son is a mechanic at a FORD dealer and he started with craftsman tools, they were the best for our budget, now that he is making his own money he can slowly buy Snapon/ Matco tools bringing home his craftsman tools for his home tool box. like Bird I too have some sears craftsman power tools and satisfied with their performance, I also have 40+ year old craftsman mechanic tools that I have no desire or need to replace.
