I like nuts. I've planted hazelnuts, pecans and Carpathian walnuts, and am thinking of trying hardy almonds. They are said to grow "where ever peaches thrive", so here in the middle of Missouri I should have a shot. However, at a Canadian nut growers site, I've read that the nuts of the Hall's hardy almond are somewhat bitter, though of course the plant companies call the nuts sweet. Anyone got a hardy almond tree?
