Hiya! About a year ago, there was a link someone posted that led to an electronic copy of an book that contained all kinds of useful information for farm/rural living. It was clearly originally published a long(ish) time ago but had a whole bunch of very useful advice.
I do not know of an electronic book but, there is a series of printed books called Foxfire. They are about rural/country life and describe in detail how to do most anything in the old time country ways. Some examples are preserveing foods, storage of foods without refridgeration.Building many things such as houses to household furniture and so many things not thought of till reading the books.A group of college students went into the Appalachians and interviewed the old timers to obtain the information in the books.
Gosh, I remember the Foxfire books. They were great! Tractor Supply Company has a good selection of books that would be helpful. You might wabt to check Mother Earth News on the net. They have several great links. Might try Rodale Press too. Good luck, Chris
