I was in Sam's Club today and noticed a kawasaki 19.2V cordless drill, charger and two batteries for $37. I think there's a Craftsman 18V, two Firestorm 18V, and an 18V Royobi impact driver in the shop already, but I came home with a kawasaki. It was just too cheap to pass up. Seems to be OK, and I've read a couple of decent reviews by folks who've only had it a few months. We'll see how it works out. I've got a metal roof to put on the house in the next few weeks and they'll all get a workout.
It's hopeless.
I think I paid $25 each for the 18V Firestorm's; each had charger and one battery, about two years ago. They've performed much better than the Craftsman whose batteries are shot. The latches holding the batteries to the drill have broken on both of the Firestorm batteries so that's troublesome and I've been looking to replace them when a "deal" showed up. I don't really use them often, but it seems once a year or so I get into a contruction project where they're needed.
